The art of paella, centred around the open flame
From acclaimed chef Quique Dacosta — holder of three Michelin stars and ranked among the World's 50 Best Restaurants — Arros QD brings the theatre of authentic Valencian wood-fire cooking to the heart of London. Built around a dramatic six-metre stove that dominates the open kitchen, this is where Spanish tradition meets contemporary fire mastery.
Here the theatre is the fire itself: flames rising, smoke swirling and rice transforming over glowing embers of orange wood and grapevine. Every paella is cooked using the traditional Valencian method, creating the prized 'socarrat' — the golden, caramelized rice crust that defines authentic paella. From wood-fired seafood and Iberian meats to our signature Paella Valenciana, each dish celebrates the elemental power of live fire cooking.
Chef Quique Dacosta is the UK's only holder of the 'Cullera de Fusta' (Wooden Spoon), the highest honor for authentic Valencian paella awarded by the Valencian government. His dedication to preserving traditional rice cooking techniques while pushing the boundaries of Spanish cuisine has made Arros QD a landmark destination for paella and wood-fire dining in London.
Located in Fitzrovia at 64 Eastcastle Street, just moments from Oxford Circus, the restaurant spans two beautifully designed floors by renowned Spanish designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Downstairs, guests dine around the open kitchen with the six-metre wood-fire stove at center stage. Upstairs, intimate private dining rooms and the exclusive Fuego Bar cocktail lounge offer refined spaces for celebrations and corporate events.
